    Front bulkhead replacement advice

Hey guys. Just broke my second bulkhead on my slash 2wd VXL and I am looking for a good replacement. I heard aluminum is not the way to go because it can bend and become useless.
    Any suggestions?

This is one of the few places where you want aluminum.

I've never heard that about aluminum. I have 2 different ones the real cheap 10 special atomic and the strc one.
The atomic is In 3 pieces and they bolt together. The strc is 1 piece and is nice. Both had functioned well and has held up better than plastic.
My wife hates it but I love It.

I wont race without one unless I have no choice.
I didn't have a blue one on hand when I built this rig so I used what what laying around.

Thanks everyone! I don't mind spending a little extra to not break these again so aluminum definitely and either STRC or the FLM.
Are they both direct bolt on?
And any reason I should choose one over the other?
    Thanks for the quick responses!

STRC has been in my Rusty for years. I have seen FLM break because they added some screw holes to let you extend it a little. I am not sure if they changed that I was told they did. Believe STRC is less expensive and definitely are easier to find, both my LHS carry STRC products as do many others very few if any carry FLM>

So far I run a blue, red, and a green strc with no issues at all.
I just ordered my first flm so I will have to see, I hadn't heard about their down falls as stated by Dadx2mj, but he knows what hes talking about so you should heed his advise, I've already paid for my flm unit so I guess I will hope for the best.
And I have never seen any lhs handle flm products at all, and I rarely buy anything online.
    Good luck with your choice.

Yes, the one in the picture is strc, about a ten minute job, as I stated the flm I ordered will be my first non strc aluminum bulk head.
I have looked into flm bh's and they have updated them from the adjustable units, tho they claim due to interference, perhaps this is what lead to breakage.
I purchased it for winter shelf queen appeal, but its nice to know it wont break if it is sent into service.
    Best of luck to you.

If you look at my picture in post #7 you can see them going straight down thru the pl front brace, but you can us the stock ones as well.
They maybe a special length for the strc lcg chassis.
