    Summit Track

Today I got bored with my track in my backyard and I wanted to design a new one. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

This was my track before I leveled most of it.

This what it looks like now.

The area I have to work with is approximately 40'x40'. This time around I was thinking about making plywood jumps and table tops instead of dirt. I definitely what a crossover, but not a simple figure eight.

Something like this would be prefect, but I don't think I could get it to fit. I kept my lanes 5'-6' wide

Do you think 3-4' lanes would be be enough for a couple 1/15 scale trucks?

I think 3' would be too tight, but 4' would be fine, as long it was only 2 at a time. Even then there might not be a lot of passing, outside of mistakes.

5' would provide more space for passing, and very different lines. Maybe you could vary the width to allow for some passing areas and others as not. Pick spots that would provide for different lines & widen them, then tighten some of the places where going off line would be murder.

I went back to my old layout because of the lane width issues, all my lanes are 6'. I added a few 180 turns.
