good, im wondering how it performs 4s vs. 6s, Not just speed... but performance wise too.

Might run smoother on 6s if its a real power hungry system?

On 4s at crawling speed, there was absolutely no cogging. And power and torque were at the "rendez-vous" for sure! But i still don't know what gearing i can put on it, i can't find any gearing chart anywhere.

    No such chart I believe.

Id get a temp gun and play with different combos till you get the speed/torque/temp you desire.

You should get a little more speed. But if thats what you are going for, pinions are better to up on the teeth count for speed.

Should be about the equivalent of an 18t pinion (17.6t if you want to get techy)

i just put one blue bird BMS-35A in the summit, those little monsters are power hungry! They makes the front leds flashing when i turn the wheels, even if setting the rx8 internal BEC to 7.4v and on 6s! Does someboby knows what sould i do to solve the issue?

A 6.0/7.4 volt, 7 amp BEC should have no problem powering a steering servo for the Summit.

I think it may need more amps, to feed the leds and servo... maybe i can get a 20A BEC from castle?http://www.cafr.ebay.ca/itm/Castle-C...ht_3155wt_1161

I went to try the setup on 6s, speed were very fast. I checked the temps and it was 112f on the esc and 152f on motor, geared 14/54. I did only speed run for about 20 min. The only down site is, I killed the spur gear bearing.I think it is good, do you?

Bearing was probably seized already, this run just destroyed it. Ive seen a few of this bearing size seize per-maturley.

A CC 10A BEC would do fine. I`ll help with wiring if you need any.

A castle 7 amp will be plenty.
Feed 7.4v directly from the castle bec to the servo.Tekin at 6v feed the rx and everything else.
The rx should not be fed 7.4v for any reason it is not rated for that.you may have damaged the rx if its been getting 7.4 v.
the micro servos will not enjoy 7.4 for long,Again If you are feeding the rx 7.4v That is not good for it.A castle 10 amp will be plenty strong enough and smaller. If I have misunderstood your setup disregard just want to make sure you don't damage anything

Hope your ready to solder on some battery tabs and have a spare piece of wire.

Here how I mounted one on the rear body post.

In the diagram simply ignore the y-harness going into the rx.

Thank you NA, it is very appreciated, but mine is a 20 amp, and the wire are not the same... Also i have read somewhere that i cannot plug two bec into the rx... is it true? I also was asking myself if i could only plug the white wires from the servos to the rx, and power the servos directly from the bec?

Tekin in my Summit, will it do well?

Yes bec to power servo only at 7.4v just pulling signal from Rx to servo. The stock bec takes care of the rest.Is your tekin bec set to 6v?
As I don't think it is from the factory.Need the hot link to set that feature I believe, also for setting your cutoff voltage as factory options are a bit low for my liking.

Should not be BEC used to power RX directly? You simply plug it in to free slot in RX and disconnect power supply from ESC. Something like this castle diagram:

At least I planned to connect it that way.

Yes if you want to run everything at 6v.most high torque servos are capable of 7.4v.
The Rx and traxxas servos are 6v

boilo56:i see a posible problem with your setup in post 107(in pic 3)....the way the bec is connected. it will feed off of the one battery rather then both......since the bec can take up to 6s lipo in series. i would sugest hooking it to the tekin esc directly(so it would be in parrellel with the esc)so that both lipo's get discharged evenly

Don't ask me why,I was still going off the EVX issue with bec side.
Tekin d'uh that should work fine.
Tekin goes in series before the esc.
The EVX goes in series internally
    Causing the smoke issue
