    Trenchers on 2.5

Will the 2.5 engine and transmission be strong enough to power these without burning stuff up

You will have the power, you may just need to drop a a couple of teeth on your clutch bell. What size clutch bell are you running right now? Those tires will be taller so it will be just like gearing up.

You may have problems with drive shafts and idler gears. Really depends on how/where you drive. If you intend on running in tall grass plan on replacing parts mentioned.

I am running trenchers on mine but I have a 3.3 in it. I had to upgrade to steel drive shafts. But may not need to with a 2.5. I would also suggest and 18 tooth clutchbell and 72 tooth spur gear. I've had no idler gear trouble yet.
