I would check out the support area on here and download the manual and read it, that will get you started. Set the carb back to original settings and start from there. Nitro is fun but needs to be adjusted a little every time you run it. Depending on how long its been since it ran you may want to tear it down and do a cleaning and check the motor out and tighten everything up.

Defiantly read the manual, then read it again.

How long has it been sitting?
If the air filter looks iffy replace it, keep an extra on hand & swap them out hourly when running in very dusty places.

Glow plugs #3232X, have extra's on hand as they are a consumable part.
Batteries, one of the best upgrades you can do is put a rechargeable 6V hump pack in your truck for the RX.

To make the hump pack plug N play get TRX#3034, http://buy.traxxas.com/product_info....oducts_id=5441

Make sure your EZ start battery&/or glow igniter is charged before heading out.
Watch a few video's on tuning on youtube before you head out, squirrelrod has some good ones
    Look out for the tree/crunch!

    LiPo? Naw NITRO!!

Tuning has a lot to do with it I'm sure. Also tighten the slipper all the way and back off 1/4 turn. A loose slipper will cause it to be sluggish, although a slipper too tight will put undo stress on the tranny and diffs. You just gotta find the sweet spot for both tuning and the slipper. Have patience and tweak a lil at a time, never make big adjustments.

What model and engine are you running? Dont expect wheelies on demand with a 2.5 engine, or a 3.3 that isnt tuned well.
    No slipper/tall gearing/power = broken parts.
