    Sand Dune Slash Baja

    Hey all

I'm a longtime lurker, random poster, irregular thread started.

Anyway, thought I'd share my first custom body. The little guy picked the paint scheme and even had his first go at rattle canning after dad (me) masked it out for him. He's only 3.5, so even pressing the nozzle down seemed to be a bit of a battle. Needless to say I think he (we) did a pretty good job.

Some ordinary youtube footage shot by the mrs seeing it in action. Thats said, I think the driving is worst than the camera work

Anyway, thanks for letting us share.

    Nice slash you have there.
Just a little curious, I'm going to do some sand running also and was wondering if those were pl sling shots on the back?
    They look a little wide.
I really like the fronts and believe I will order some tomorrow.

Looks Awesome! If we had sand around here in large amounts I would definatly have a dune setup, the sand tires just look mean. Good job to ya'll.

Hey all thanks for the positive comments.

Rears are Proline Slingshots. I have 17mm extenders on the rears as when I was running the stock shell I'd get a fair bit of sand on the undertray (even though Im now running a dusty motors cover) - if your running sand I highly recommend them. Also a bit of blutak on that hole on the gear cover keeps all sand out of your spur gears - stripped a spur first time round becuase of the sand. Im still learning on the sand, its only my second time, and sadly not frequent as these dunes are at our holiday house a few hours away.

The Extenders allow the rears to hang out a bit more keeping sand out from the important bits. So I have just left them there on the Baja body. To be honest it probably doesnt need it anymore now Im running the Baja on the sand runs.

    Front wheels are Proline Mowhawkes.

I must admit, sand running is soooooo much fun, and adds another element to bashing.

Sorry I have no idea what the wheels are. Can't remember. Liked 'em and bought 'em.
