Cool What did you do to your Summit today?

Well, after reading the Slash version of this thread, I think it's time for our own Summit version!

    I'll start:

I Finally fixed my rear LED's, the wires had come out. I also finished dying my chassis black! But for some weird reason the rockers look blue... Then I spent an hour and a half bashing around my local park, so much fun!

So, what did you do to/with your Summit today?

Lately my Summit has been in pieces But, I've painted my motor, servos, shock springs, and ESC black. Need to pick up some dye to dye my chassis and rockers black. Have ordered a new MG959 30kg Servo, HR Aluminium Servo Saver and a set of Mudslingers. When my tyres arrive I'll dechrome my geodes and put the slingers on them, can't wait! My truck is finally becoming MINE

I just finished repairing my LED roof rack lights. A freak crash took out my rear lights, and my roof rack lights.

Ripped around on dirt/gravel in rear wheel drive for a while before work. The rear axles broke while crawling at the beach in San Diego, so I had thrown the rears in the broken parts bin and put the fronts in the rear for RWD. I got some great drifting and donut action!!!

Yea I didn't know where he was from. Under his name it doesn't say like yours does. Must take a long time for the boats to float to the land down under.

No, just the Kershaw Designs boat Most things can be here in two weeks at the best around 9 days, but I don't know if its where he's stationed or how he posts but either way things take much much longer

I just ordered new wheel bearings for my Summit from Avid! I also stripped the old clear coat off of my DeWalt 14.4 motor. I stripped it off because it was starting to discolor and flake off. Just waiting for the paint to dry now.

I found my clear coat began to discolour and get a sort of burnt look to it so now I've painted it matte black

What did you do to your Summit today?

Nothing because my Dewalt from Kershaw Designs still hasn't come. Gave up and ordered another stock Titan 775. Summit has been out of action for 6 weeks now!

I have heard of such things... From said place.
    Don't give up maybe eBay
Also doesn't have to be a dewalt
They have proven reliable and are easy to make fit.but others could work maybe

    Nothing. But on my buddy's...
Installed my unused CC-BEC to take a load off the MMPro. Under strenuous conditions the Hitec 7954 started causing brownouts that a glitch buster could not solve.

What did you do to your Summit today?

I went brushless!!! Bought a second hand Sensored Hobbywing 150a ESC & 2200kv brushless combo.

Installed it this afternoon & I'm loving it!!

I think it looks pretty in there!

It crawls so smoothly - so much better than my E-Revo with stock MM and non sensored 2200kv castle.

I definitely would recommend going to a brushless SENSORED system, but not unsensored. Of course this after one bash session in which nothing broke

I also pulled apart my single steering servo and waterproofed it by covering the circuit board with liquid tape and then filling the top & bottom of the case, and around the output shaft in particular, with grease.

I just rolled my Summit end over end about 20 times today down a hill. Nothing broke, but now there's a huge crack in the body.

Shoe goo and mesh drywall tape is a decent fix.It had to happen sooner or later.

Just finished installing aluminum differential cup from LEM. Also installed new front, and rear bulk heads. First stress test of the aluminum cup today was a big time success !!! ( jumps, dead stop wheelies, and vertical climbs)

Awesome!! Ive been using them for a while now too. Virtually eliminated stripping teeth off the gears, and with the hardened diff gears they are bulletproof.

I have their test aluminum axles in the mail as of yesterday. Ill post up pics once received!

Please do, those things look GREAT!

Also, I fixed the huge crack in my Summit's body, I used silicone to fill the crack, then I sprayed clear coat on it. Don't worry, it works great.

Yea... let’s see those sexy axles. My only question is where will that transfer the weak-link too? Our hope is something that can be easily replaced, and inexpensive.

Normally they would make the diff cup the weak link, but if you get that in aluminum, then probably the spider gear would go next. But if you upgrades those too, then who knows!
