    tires?

Sure this has been asked plenty before but I know new tires come out here and there and I am picking up my first slash tomorrow and I know the stock tires are not the best so what should I get for it and any other upgrades I should look to add it is a raptor model and I am putting a vxl system in it when I get it home lol...so like aluminum casters ( kinda traxxas upgrade must with any model so far that I have had) anything else I should look into....??? not into racing just bashing around maybe racing a couple buddies around but not any serious racing ...

Duratrax SCT Lockups are great. Decent looking, long wearing, and cheap (by SCT tire standards.)

+1 on the lockups, had them on my 2wd and worked very well, very good traction in loose dirt.

The stockers are good for every surface, since you don't care about them lasting long at all, you can do crazy stuff with them. (they are especially fun when they are bald)

trenchers are a great all around tire even in just the m2 compound. but be warned when on the street............ dont just nail the throttle. accelerate easy and decelerate easy. i had brand new rears almost gone in less than 10 runs on 3s from just mashing throttle because i thought rolling burnouts were cool lol. now the fronts............. they still to this day look almost brand new
