Rechargeable battery pack for slayer 4x4 pro

I want to put a rechargeable battery pack in my slayer pro but im not sure on what type of plug the tqi rx uses. Is it a futaba j plug or will a hitec plug work?

As far as I could see, if it has the dock for the IPhone/IPod then it is the same connector as what you plug into your receiver. I just don't know which is which. If no docking station then I don't know what that connector is. It is different than the servo connectors though.

I'll have to look and see if its like the servo plugs. If it is, are they futaba j plug or can I use hitec? I'm not talking about putting rechargeable in the transmitter, I want to swap out the receiver pack with a square rechargeable pack. Like a tenergy 2300mAh pack.

    The plugs Traxxas uses:

    JST
    Futaba J
    TRX
    Tamiya
    Bullets

JST's are used for LED harnesses.
Futaba J's are used on servo's and Rx power packs.
TRX are used for batteries and ESC inputs.
Tamiya are used in EZStart wands and batteries.
Bullets of a few different sizes are used for motors and ESC motor connections.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

Can I use a hitec plug for the rx though? I have been out of RC for years, and I just got back into it with the slayer. I love the truck but I am getting tired of the receiver loosing link. When I loose control, I'll remove the receiver cover and the receiver will be blinking red. I put fresh batteries in the receiver today and it still did the same thing.

Yes, it just won't have the directional tab on it... I think. It has been a while since I handled a HiTec.

Has the Rx gotten wet? Maybe 24 hours buried in rice will cure it??

Um, it might have got some from damp grass, but that's all I can think of.
