    Can you link a non traxxas rx to a traxxas tx?

    I started losing range on my mini summit and found out I pinched the rx antenna wire under the shock mount. A result of working in bad lighting.

    If the radio is AM and the same frequency (has the same crystals), then yes you can use different manufacturer's Tx and Rx. If the radio is 2.4GHz, then there is little to no chance the Tx and Rx will be compatible.

    Why don't you just get a new receiver?

    Have you got the TQI radio then the older 2218x will also work?

    If you are skilled you could also just buy a 2.4 ghz wire and resolder it to the receiver board. I did this once. It's pretty tricky but worked for me

    Ummm... that is what he said.
    "I will buy a new Rx"

    Rx = receiver.
    Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
