    Problem with Air Control

    Hey guys,
when i make bigger jumps with more speed and my stampede 4x4 starts to nose dive i sometimes can't get it level anymore although i pull the gas trigger to maximum.

So i was wondering if i could optimize this by changing the pinion gear, but not sure if a larger or smaller one could help. I run 2s lipos everything else bone stock.

    THX!

Hi Sound, I do not think your pinion gear has anything to do with it. I have a feeling you are letting off the throttle too soon in anticipation of the jump. Take a look at this article:

Fix That Nose Dive Off Jumps

There are also several Youtube videos that discuss jumping RC cars and trucks. You can probably find some useful information there as well.

    Good luck!

Also, what battery are you using? I ask because with my p4de on a good 2S, flooring it while in the air made it do a backflip pretty quick.

    Problem with Air Control

    I use a 40-80c 2s 4000 mah Lipo

and warfighter was absolutely right about letting the throttle off too soon.

The jumps are working great now.

    Thanks for the helpful tip.
