DR-1 used a few times, now makes a squeeling noise whenever i start the throttle

    Hey all

Like the title says, Ive run mine a few times now with no problems...but lately as soon as I hit the throttle on take off, it sounds like something is "slipping" or making a squealing sound....any idea what this could be? Im new to Heli's so Im not sure where to start....

It could be a number of things:

    1) There are actually two main shafts, one to turn each set of blades. The upper slides down through the lower shaft. It's possible that you bent one of them in a crash and now they're rubbing.

    2) One of your bearings is worn out or defective. They can make a loud whining noise when they're bad.

    3) One of your motors isn't working right.

    Does the heli still fly?

so I figured it out, a couple days before, the upper main shaft came loose and flew out of the heli. I reinstalled it, but It wasn't seated all the way down, so the gears weren't lining up right. Once I made sure it was seated all the way down and retightened the grub screw, all seems okay.

Just wanted to update everyone on what it was.
