    using a modified crank

    Has anyone ever used a modified crank by any chance. Are they worth buying?

    I wouldn't buy one unless its from a trusted and recommended by members here. Otherwise if you're good with a dremel there are threads and possibly videos on how to modify it yourself. Along with the sleeve

    All his work is highly recommended by everyone that has bought it. Hes been making them for seven years. I bought it for 18 $ and 4 $ shipping. We will see how it goes.

    Did/are you modding the sleeve also? I wonder if it will get too much a/f mix for a stock sleeve causing it to load up?

    No modded sleeve. I didnt think of that. But it would have to be block and sleeve modded huh? Cause looking at thr sleeve from the exhaust port. Its opened up pretty well. If it does load up. I will go back stock and talk to the guy about possibly modding me a sleeve and block to.

    Shouldn't affect it too much...

    If the crank is all that's modified, you might see some higher rpms and better performance at the top end but I doubt if much since you aren't modding the porting....

    I just got the crank in. Truck runs great idling. It will hold a way lower idle rpm. I haven't got to drive it. But as of right now. It seems to be a pretty good bit better. Just hitting the gas from sitting still. Its got more snap to it also. We will see exactly how it is when I get the tranny out ans get the gears to forward instead of reverse
