I recently broke a motor shaft on my HV 6.5 motor, as some of you know. I cut the motor wires from the esc, pulled my old HV 4400 out of the parts box, and soldered that motor onto my HV maxx esc. I had a break in one of the sensor wires I also had to fix.
Coincidentally, my tqi quit working the same run as the shaft breakage. So I'm also running an am radio now too.
The truck is smooth as silk until its about 40 feet away, then it gets very glitchy. Could something about soldering on the new motor or repairing a sensor wire have caused this?
I have a ubec, and a 27 MHz radio system. I tried several receivers, different crystals, and different remotes to no avail. Any ideas? I even tried another servo and unplugged my fans. The receiver is mounted very close to the steering servo if it matters.
I wonder if its this motor, but then again it is fine if I'm close by. On the other hand, I seem to maintain steering when it gets glitchy, though it's hard to tell and it could be my imagination.
