    Traxxas CVDs question?

Hi, I just got a set of CVDs for my erevo, 5451R. Its still in sealed box but it looks kind of weird.. the steel seem like already rusted? is it normal or I got a bad set?

It almost looks like mold and/or corrosion. I would contact the seller and go from there.

I doubt the integrity of the metal is compromised......but still......

Just a quick note for whoever purchase something from eBay, please STAY AWAY from rchobbies4life. This seller sold a defected item and all they do is told you contact Traxxas. Worst seller!!!

I just checked. rchobbies4life has in the last 12 months....

    Positive feedback rating Positive 25441
    Neutral feedback rating Neutral 87
Negative feedback rating Negative *52 . Still 99.8 positive because of the shear volume of sales. You just happened to be one of the unlucky .2%

Yeah but the seller should realise that ultimately they sold a defective product and should take responsibility for that. The buyer didn't deal with or pay money to Traxxas directly - they paid rchobbies4life. Therefore they should look after the buyer.

If I bought a pair of jeans from a department store and they were clearly defective, can you imagine the department store telling me to call Levi's??

Pity, however they will be bent within 2 hours of bashing so don't worry too much, if you run gently they will be fine but if you beat it they will bend like heck. Not worth the money tbh, get summit shafts.

well, they sold new product so only get negative feedback when item not received (new product has very small chance of defective)... The reason I don't like them because they didn't inspect the item before ship it to buyer, like this CVD, it clearly can see the issue through the box with out open it.

anyway, after few emails they take return but I have to pay for return shipping cost still suck, but better than deal with traxxas...

I got some a summit that I dont use, so just take the driveshaft out and put it in my erevo or I need some modifications?
