    Front suspension details...

Found a pic in the LaTrax gallery that shows some suspension features:

    The fake disks are cool,.
    Friction shocks
    Plastic drive shafts
    Guessing no bearings
    Nice hub design
    Captured suspension pins!
    Non adjustable links

So... you guys who want to throw a bl in this, be prepared to upgrade to get all that power down, and keep the wheels planted.

This little car is really cool, and prob extremely durable in stock form.
These will be great for the rugrats. A real rc car made for kids 3-103yrs old lol...

    EDIT: Lipo ready also

In stock form, it might be able to handle the power...

Now, with all the accessories that LaTrax will be providing us soon to be customers, of course it will handle it. Also, do not forget about the 30 something year old kids out there, lol.

I'm wondering if 1/16 shocks can be used... Or the ones from the Funny Car...

The front ones from the Funny Car might fit by replacing the cap and adding a rod end to them...

But why? Unless you already have the funny car shocks, both plastic and aluminum oil-filled shocks are listed on the accessory page linked above. Ball bearing kit too

Because 2 complete sets (8 total) of Funny Car shocks are $3 on eBay... And, I don't want to be a bad boy here, but you know how long it takes for Traxxas to release accessories...

    Well, that is good reason

But still, they should be pretty cheap considering the whole car is only $149 MSRP

Just upgrade what breaks. Hopefully the upgrades will be as budget minded as the rtr,...

Hope I can find a place to run it...

Hope that maybe all that the car needs is a set of bearings to run forever in stock form...

Cant wait to see where this launch is pointed at...

LaTrax is offering 2 version of oil fill shocks and a bearing kit. This is a true 1/18scale so it design to handle small and smooth surfaces.
Simply the best. The beautiful Traxxas SRT and TCP

I'm really liking the good set of upgrades for this. I'm betting this thing is going to be a blast.

I took a couple of RC's with us to my folks place for the 4th. My little kiddo and I blasted up and down the street with the Slash and 1/10 Rally. Add this for my Dad to drive and we would have been set. He's afaid to break the others so he wouldnt drive them much, said they were to fast and powerful. Once I get this new 1/18 he'll be super excited. Won't have the speed but will have the FUN & WOW factor.

You found someone thats actually afraid to break someone elses rc? He's a keeper.

I am really interested in the portability of an entire pit in a 2x2x2 box... Car, tx, charger, tools, parts, 6-pack of soda...

Yeah I didnt understand either. I think the terrain, area we were driving, and him actually seeing them at WOT he didnt want to smash into something. He's driven them before in a wide open area with sure confidence.

Its really kewl to see my little boy (4yrs), running these things around WOT 35-45mph and doing an excellent job. Of course i'm not surprised he has a 125cc 4-wheeler. He also rides his bike w/o any training wheels. He actually just asked us to take them off about 3 weeks ago. Well last weekend we went to visit my folks in Texas Hill Country and he rode up an incline and freecycled down the hill at 20mph. So 2 weeks under his belt and he's mastered all this.

You and me both. Not like I don't have enough already. Many 1/10, and a 1/7 scale RC. This one will be awesomely portable at any time. Hmmm....Save the box that this is shipped in for easy transportation, or maybe a container. LOL

i want one but at the same time i have 3 running rigs now, 2 are racers though. and a bandit i still need to build lol. plus im not really sure where i would run the little guy at to be honest. 1/16 traxxas line would be better for me i think sadly.

but i did do some research, and lets just say spc makes a perfect lipo for $20 each. its even 50c discharge and then castle creations has there 1/18 scale combos that look like they would put in some serious work on a latrax especially once you get some of the other upgrades
