Traxxas Aluminum Pivot Ball Caps vs RPM Carriers

    Traxxas 7033X and RPM 73162

I've read the occasional comment about both of these upgrades and one being better than the other, but I'd like to ask those who have tried both; which do you prefer and why?

The application will be a 1/16 Rally VXL, on road only (drift and grip) running 2S Lipo.

    Thanks much.

No comment or experience with the RPM for me. But if all you are doing is staying on the road the caps will be fine for you. It removes all the slop with ease. I use them with my slash that I jump over and over and only popped one out. It threaded back in and haven't had it happen again.

Before my Boss hit the ground I put RPMs on the corners. They work real nice and have not had a problem with the pillow ball popping out--even with the hard hits when I've slid into walls or auto tires.
