Best all around tire for Rally?

My son wants a set of Badlands for his Rally. Are they a good all around tire? Do they hook up better than the stock tires?
Is there such a thing as a set, mounted and ready to go?
    Thanks for your help.

Badlands wear down quickly on pavement. Not good all round.

I use Proline Switch tires, but they are now discontinued. I would do either Proline Trenchers or Proline Gladiators.

If he's running off-road mostly, then badlands are an excellent choice. Go for it.

Or Trenchers. I don't think the stock Rally tires are supposed to hook up on pavement because they are for drifting.

Badlands are great for off road! I like Calibers too. Pretty good on any surface. But like any tire with tread driving on a hard surface will wear them out.

What rims would bolt right on with no problems?
I'd prefer a mounted set that was ready to go.

Just make sure you tighten the nut down to hold the wheel on to keep the hexes good!

As for compound for calibers would depend on your terrain or bash/race. I like mediums/soft for bashing on any tire type really. Then SS/MX/MC compounds for track use.

What compound for a backyard track with a VERY thin layer of loose stuff on top then? M3?

    M3 would be good.
