    NA`s Newly Aquired...

    Hi All,

Just picked up my first 1/16. Its only 6 months old, I got it from a friend for $200, Just needs a little TLC. Pretty good deal I figure. Almost enough spares for me to make another truck

Here is what is on the truck right now:
    -Aluminum Hexs
    -Aluminum Pillow Ball Caps
    -Steel Hollow Balls
    -GTR Aluminum Shocks
    -RPM Revo A-Arms
    -Revo Axels
    -Revo P2 Rockers
    -Locking Green Wheel Nuts
    -Green Towlinks/Pushrods

All just need to replace the steering servo, broken front/rear post mounts and cracked front bulkhead. Plastics are already in the box. Ordering the servo soon.

It came with 5 sets of tire:
    -Canyons with Chains
    -Trenchers
    -Road Rages
    -Dirt Hawgs
    -Talons

Here a list of the spare parts box:
    -Transmittion
    -Screw Set
    -RPM A-Arm Set
    -Front/Rear Diff Housing
    -Slipper Clutch Kit
    -Body Pins
    -Center CVD`s
    -50t Spur Gear
    -26t, 19t, 16t pinions
-x6 Axle Carriers with Pillow Balls and Bearings
    -x4 Revo Drive Shafts
    -x2 2080 Gear Sets
    -x2 Complete Diffs
    -x2 Purple Spring
    -x2 Blue Springs
    -x4 LT Rockers
    -x4 Summit Hex
    -x4 Slash Hex
    -x4 Wheel Nuts
    -x3 Dead 2080s for parts
-Stock Summit Shocks, A-Arms, Axels, Pushrod, Towlinks All Round
    -Stock VXL ESC/Motor
    -x4 1200 NIMH Batts
    -Grave Digger Plastic Kit
    - Wall Charger
    -Axial 14-LED kit

So my plan is to rebuild the Summit into a Summit, and then use the remaining parts to build a Merv.
So I`ll have two like new 1/16`s for like $250

I will be starting threads covering both builds. I dont know much about these 1/16`s. But I do also have a full size Summit so I am familiar with the rig.

yes, we both knew he had a lot. we made the deal even before we opened the part box. as we went through tires n spares we realized I got a killer deal.

There was someone that tested out multiple aluminum steering components quite a while ago... they tried 3 or 4 different brands and they all had the same result; they all burned up the aftermarket servo. After it was all said and done he suggested to just use the stock servo saver and possibly an aluminum Y post if you must.

Hmmm... Maybe just stick with the stock setup I guess.

What is the BEST servo you can buy for these 1/16`s?

verywell. however. different hexs are required. first I was using slash hexs cause they are a lil thicker. then upgraded to aluminum hexs.

definetly need a stronger servo with them. going to try a 390 I think.

I ended up buying a new brushed merv and used all the goodies I got in the 1/16 lot to build a VXL Merv and brushed Summit.
