Would the sct castle creation 4pole work good in a traxxas slash 2wd useing lipo battery's? Would it be faster? Would it run cooler?

    Better overall
I'm predicting you chose the 3800kv 4-pole motor?
It runs cooler, much better accelaration, and a bit higher speed

I believe it can handle up to 6s. Correct me if I'm wrong.

depends on your combination. for example the sct race pro combination.

it has a esc that can handle 6s lipo, but the 3800kv motor can only run on 3s max. you need a lower kv motor for more power.

Why is the sct better than the vxl? I can run a 3s on a sct 4 pole 3800?

I never ran a castle system but I can tell you it's better vs the vxl just from research and majority of opinions and facts
the velineon is 2pole, no bottom end and runs slightly hotter then it should even on the right gearing

With the castle system you got a 4pole motor so better bottom end grunt/torque, runs cooler and 3800kv so you have 3 beneficial things running this motor, I like running good 4pole motors with higher kvs so you get the bottom end grunt/torque and top end as well

Waste of TIME with a 3s money spent for NOTHING you will be on here asking how to control it after that by the time you figure it all out your slash will be a pile of JUNK (just my opinion)

I just installed the castle creations sct edition 3800kv in my 2wd slash and with the stock gearing of 16/90 I clocked in at 28 mph using my gps and using the included 23/86 gears it went up to 35. What gearing are you using to get up to 35mph?

    Are you running NiMh?
On 2s lipo geared 23/86,you should be around 40mph with the stock tires.
Skye is running bad lands, their are about 4.7 plus ballooning, that would give him a couple more mph.

I am using a 2s lipo with the stock tires. I just put on a new set of duratrax lockups today and I should see if there is any speed difference with them. I am guessing that the speed will be the same. 35 mph is pretty fast and hard to handle. I am happy with that speed, but am curious how to get it going 45mph on a 2s battery.

just read it. I am surprised how much just changing the tires changes the speed. What tires on the list would be equivalent to the stock slash tires?

Their 4.3 or very close, but dont forget that they arent made for extreme speed so they will balloon, you must add that also.
As a rule I add .4 ballooning for stock,it may be a bit more or less, but that a guess.
High speed tires are made differently.
I'm not into speed runs at all so some one who is could help you more.
I'm not in to doing it,but its a lot of fun to watch.
There is a fella on youtube who has a hundred mile an hour plus slash.
    Pretty ow-some.

That video shows that the slash can do anything with the right set-up. I did another speed test with the duratrax lockup tires on the preglued rims with 23/86 gearing and the speed went up to 37. I love the castle system and really only went with it over the vilenion because of the price difference. It would be nice if it was waterproof like the traxxas. My next purchase will be a stampede 4x4 vxl so I'll get to see what the traxxas system is like.
