So I have a few questions...
Do the extra Anza parts really only give added durability?
    Id rather go cheaper..

And I'm going to buy a brand new slash and Anza chassis and I'll go from there..

Thats exactly how I feel right now looking at my slash. I think, wow, I could make this an amazing race truck. And then I price it out on ebay and it comes out to $900. Just mowing lawns like I do now it would be like four years before I could even get close to that amount.

    Yeah it's a lot
LOL imagine if you put that much money into it and you crash it and your lipo goes boom
    And then it's totaled
    That would be terrible

Yea I would just get the truck, the chassis, wheels+tires, and the RPM rear bumper mount. It actually may handle very good in that form, you never know.

It depends, you can tell yourself after you run on the track. The 2wd acts completely different when put onto a prepped surface. If the front is pushing put more traction on the front, if you are fishtailing put more traction in the rear.

I would say the mini pin because there is more rubber in contact with the ground. I hate to say this but you may want to try your street fighters, I've heard that they bite in places you wouldn't expect so I would just give it a shot.

Ive tried the streetfighters on carpet..
All you do is spin out
I had the same theorie as you
    Just it never worked out

    Edit: I just read something
It was an article for the 22sct

They were using mini pins on their trucks and they were getting a lot of traction rolling

Looks like I'm going with mini spikes!
Probably a slightly softer compound up front?
    Whatcha guys think!

If you prefer fishtailing and making it around the corner that sounds good. But if you go with the same compound you will likely get lots of pushing and be overshooting the corners often.

Although I am not from or live in Michigan, looking on google maps anything in Michigan is pretty far south. But for some reason there is tons of hobby stores in Wisconsin according to google maps.

    What part of Michigan?
In the lower metropolitan area they are plentiful.
At 16mile and I believe gratiot, you will find Larry's rc speed shop, this is a top notch facility with indoor tracks and more I'm told.
I moved out of the greater Detroit area many years ago so I really can't help much.
In upper lower Mi there are very few good lhs.
We have a decent one in TC,and a nice one in Kalkaska, but that's about it for the Traverse area, and rc trucks.
Their are other hobby shops but not sct friendly.

    So..
I told my dad how I wanted to go there
He said I could even bring my slash!

    So..
I need to get my truck set up tonight!
    It's a dirt track
How should I set it up?

Edit: I saw some pics of their track
    Hard packed clay
I want the best traction I can get
With the two tires I have what would you use?
Streetfighters on front and traxxas bfgs in the rear?

I might possibly purchase a set so what do you run on hard packed clay?

Not to say I wouldn't lol.
To tell you the truth I just found it on Google when I looked it up for you.
There's a place in Kalkaska about 30 miles from my house with an indoor clay track.
I dont go there much in the summer as all our racing is out door dirt tracks.
Its all we have in the winter tho,its a good time to run the 4x4's,boring,but more fun then no rcing.

As for the lipos I think venom and onyx may be your best bet due to the fact that I've never heard of anybody having problems with these batteries.
