Cool This is my Build thread

OK started with an almost roller chassis with 2 bodies.
    -no motor or ESC
    -no batteries or tires
    -no Tx or Rx
-have rpm sensor and voltage/temp telemetry

I have 2 sets if tires and rims,
-first set fit great from an Ofna 1/8
-Second are Phaltlines (PHL)- way huge see pics.

Not sure is I wanna cut the plastic parts of the chassis for the PHL's or not, would also have to cut the body, and PHL's would stick out of the body even after cutting.

So just looking for opinions - and the big tires are not for over 70MPH, just lower speeds for bling

The first pic is of PHL tires on, second pic shows Ofna tires in PHL's

I should also mention I have bought a Traxxas TQI 6507 Tx & Rx.

The motor I have for it is Thunder tiger OBL 49/08 770KV.

Did you have to cut the body to fit the tires? I like how it look.
With great brushless comes great responsibility.

I have not cut yet, just thinking about it, the plastic part of the chassis would also have to be cut, but not a lot.

The other side of the body is sitting on the tires. The body is not wide enough, so the tires would stick out about 1/4 to 1/2 inch on each side.

Maybe get an extra set of plastics for the stock tires since you've already cut the existing plastics.

Ok, so I decided to give this car a name

    XO-DEVIL

It just looks mean with the Red body and big tires.

Looks like a toy tyco would have put out in the 90's now. Except bigger and with the performance to match.
Id be interested to see what levels of grip you get with the giant meats.

will post pics or vid once running, still waiting for motor mount that was not included with the "Roller"

I also decided I needed a better ESC, and since this build was getting near the price of a new one, I ordered a HPI Scream Brushless motor(1965kv) and Rage ESC for $146 cad.

That's less that what the Traxxas motor would be by itself.

And with all the extra stuff I ordered for it and buying the roller, I will have Just over $900 cad into it, once I get the motor & ESC. And No batteries included in that.

And that is way more than I wanted in it, I was looking at maybe $500 since I had a motor and ESC, which I tested in another rc and kept overheating the ESC.

OK rubberized the inside of the body

And the outside showing no overspray from the rubberizing

And started putting some carbon fiber detailing on.

    Ok more carbon fiber.

I put the not modified body(without wing) on a scale and it was 240 grams
And the red modded body with rubber ungaurd is 265 grams

And I made a connector for the telemetry battery voltage

Be sure to gear it very low or you'll fry the motor or esc very quickly

    White - kind of.
My real car is white and blue decals - see mini trophy, has almost same decals, and all white bodies will get the same.
