    Trying to Build a E-Slayer...

Hey guys, I just made $700, so I'm now looking and making a E-Slayer. I want a short course truck, but I don't like the Slash 4x4, and I already have a normal nitro Slayer. I'm using Dollar Hobbyz to get parts, and so far I've come up with:

    The chassis: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...Revo-BL/Detail

    The diffs: (2) http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...evo-BL*/Detail

    The screws/tools: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...75-pls-/Detail

    The body mounts: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/....3-BODY/Detail

    The bulkheads: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...LKHEADS/Detail

    The shocks: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...3-FRONT/Detail

    The drive shafts: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...3.3-Pro/Detail

    The body: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...o-%2347/Detail

    The a arms: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...PENSION/Detail

    The bumpers: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...BUMPERS/Detail

    The pushrods: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...Pro-4x4/Detail

    The skid plates: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...ushless/Detail

    The transmission: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...ushless/Detail

    The servo: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...ash-4x4/Detail

    The motor mount: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...-Revo-*/Detail

    The center shafts: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...VESHAFT/Detail

    The radio gear: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...l-Radio/Detail

    The receiver box: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...evo-BL*/Detail

    The axle carriers: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/....3-AXLE/Detail

    The esc: http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/servlet/...-Revo-*/Detail

Wow, sorry for all the links, I just want to make sure I have all the parts I need. Am I missing anything? I was thinking about getting the mm2, but that's $300! So, I'm thinking of getting the EVX-2 and going DeWalt with 4s lipo. I know I'm missing the tires, but I'll figure that out later. The grand total for all that is $418 so far, but that's no including the lipos for $100, and the DeWalt. Any tips or advise? Thanks!!!

If you already have the slayer pro you don't need bulkheads

I'm starting from scratch, so I need all the parts. I want to have a Slayer, and a E-Slayer.

Just saying, it may be cheaper in your case to see if there are any slayer pro whole front ends or back ends on eBay. Then see if there are any erevo chassis w/ trannys.

E-Slayers are great! It's a shame Traxxas doesn't release it with a nice body... He have to stick to the SC8 body...

Less work and I think is cheaper (only needs the tires, tx/rx, etc...)

    Just my opinion...

You could also look at an MM2 ESC so you can run 6S and have the programming ability the EVX doesn't.. Just a thought Also it could be cheaper to buy a second hand E-Revo and just put the shorter arms, pushrods and driveshafts on.. Again just a thought

Skip the Dewalt. Buy a cheap budget brushless setup. You'll regret otherwise.

I don't believe he would. The Dewalt is a very fun motor, it's not like other brushed motors, they're something else.. I think it's the huge amount of torque..
