100th Run and 54.7 Mph all stock (Octura x442)

Tonight I ran my Spartan for the 100th time and bested a 54.7 on the GPS with the only speed mods being an Octura x442, T 180 ESC, and the .187 wholt shaft (my other mods are pretty much what everyone else has, dual pick up rudder, dual trim tabs, etc). The best I could muster out of the stock prop was 49.7 MPH. So with some tuning and the X442 I was able to gain a solid 5 MPH. Batteries were about halfway between aft and center. I hadn't ran the boat in 10 days and it was a perfectly calm but warm night and it ran great.

I still have quite a few more props to try out, including the CNC one from kintec, but I don't ever have time to tune the boat, only time to charge and run it! I have had my fair share of issues wth this boat over the last year and a half, but overall its been worth it to stick with it and work through them. I feel like I have a solid and reliable Spartan!

Yup I realize that! My Hobby king GPS data logger seems to be spot on, very happy with it. Its so small and doesn't weigh a thing. I need to bring my iphone out there next time...maybe I will be able to bust the 55 mph mark!
