    Tips on racing on a short asphalt oval. FIRST EVER RACE!!!!

    hey guys and gals
    I'm going to be racing my FIRST ever race in 4 days on a asphalt track. i wanted some tips or any tuning i need to do . and how shud i drive her? ; turn into the turn from the out side lane, like F1 cars?

    things ive done:
    -bored stinger SC resonator
    -dual disk brake+fuel tube
    -rear wing
    -lowered (see the post : low ride mod)
    -front anacondas ,rear dirt hawgs
    -20cb stock spur
    -battery pack strapped to front shock tower

    your advise,comments,thoughts,ideas are much appreciated.

    -would i need 2nd gear?
    -what aboit stiffening the sock on one side of the truck? .e.g if the oval is driven in clock wise direction , i should stiffen the front left and rear left shock???

    I would try to get a couple hours at the track to test out different settings. This way you can adjust the car to your liking. If you can't get to practice at the track, find an area that has similar surface.
