    New spartan owner

I got an awesome deal on a brand new spartan vxl-6s with 3s lipos and charger

    1. Box says "6s lipo compatible" does that mean I can run dual 6's lipos without a problem?

    2. I'm looking to do the 5in rudder with dual pick up but was wondering what brand to go with.

    3. Will the knife edge turn fins help or hurt the boat?

    4. I also plan on buying a good water jacket for better cooling and to stop the water leak.

Welcome to the forum! 6s compatible means you can run your two 3s in series to run 6s. For the 5" rudder I went with the Kintec rudder, I haven't ran it yet but have heard good things. I can't answer about the turn fins, but I'm gonnna guess the help. lol Just a guess tho as I'm new here to the boating world.

I'm running the 69mm turn fins from Kintec on my boat and it turns on a dime. I'm not sure if they are better than stock, but they look cool. lol

I also ordered one of the X442 cnc props and one of the 442 black cut props. Got the black cut to try my hand at sharpening and balancing. And some water lines too you might want to look into also...

Rob the pickup is water in. You need something like "Standard Size Water Outlet machined aluminum with nut and o-ring"

I don't think Kintec does. And I checked ebay, I couldn't find one on there either. I'll have to go back and have my friend check his history and see who it was that I got it from on there...

don't have a picture yet but I used the lower hole of the stk rudder and the lower rh hole of kinetic, then drilled the top 2 holes of kinetic. auctually only have 3 bolts holding it. once the adjustable trim tabs are installed the 4th lh lower hole would be in the way, play on trimming the bracket at a later date

Jan at Kintec will sometimes refund an order if the item(s) are out of stock and he feels he can't fill the order in a reasonable time.
Not sure why the e-mail communication wouldn't have included an explanation.
