    Propellors

I just bought a new Spartan and was wondering what a good prop was. And is it worth spending the money for a prop?

A metal prop is always a nice upgrade on most rc boats.

For the stock Spartan a Octura x442 or Prather 215 sharpened and balanced are good choices.

The newer CNC props don't require the balance and sharpening and for the price would be an excellent choice.

Your welcome, that is what this forum is for.

A metal prop is well worth the $22. That's all a cnc prop will cost you.

The x442 you tried, was it an Octura x442 or CNC x442?

I have heard of some other people also experience some cavitation with the Octura X442. I did not have any problems when I went to the Octura X442 but I did experience cavitation when I used an aluminum (none CNC) X442.

You may want to ease into the throttle or raise your strut angle maybe one degree.
