    merv battery

So i use stock batteries for my merv and recently the batteries seem to be bad.
i see that some people have used them for months without having to replace them.
but mine seem to be dead already.
i have used them for about 35 charges each.
that does not seem like alot of time.
so i was wondering if i have been doing something wrong.
and which batteries would you recommend as an upgrade.
i dont want to go lipo beacause it is too expensive (having to buy a charger also)
maybe i could stay stock but charge them at a lower amperage to keep them good
    for longer.

thank you, hope you could help !

How have you been charging them?
When do you stop using them?
How have you been storing them?
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

I have been charging them with a traxxas ez-peak at 2amps sometimes 1amp
I dont understand the second question.
I have not really been storing them in a specific way,but i have been putting them in a drawer away from the sun but still in the heat and cold of my room.
    How should i store them?

2 amps is pushing the charge a little hard... these are 1200mAh batteries that should not be charged at more than 1.2 amps for long life.

When do you stop using your RC... when it doesn't move any more or when it slows?

Traxxas recommends storing NiMh's dead... but they seem to last longer for me when I store them full and in the refrigerator. I top them off just before use.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

For longest battery life on the 1200 mahs charge at .3 per Traxxas instuctions. Of course your charge times are ridiculously long at that rate. I use 1.2 and sacrifice the end of the batt's life for more runs today. Unless I am going to be racing hard which i'd do at .6 and charger set to 115% of the mah and watch the temp towards the end. Given you have been charging at 2 give them a long, small charge and I'll bet you will get some, but not all, of that lost life back.
