    Traxxas Easy peak plus charger

When I charge my 7.4V 2cell 6500mAH 60-120c lipo battery, the charger says that the end voltage is 8.4V and it don't shut off till it reaches 8.4V. Is it ok for the battery to be charged to 8.4V when it is a 7.4V battery?

    K. It isn't the first time I have charged the battery, but it is the first time I realized that it topped off at 8.4 V. Thanks for the input.

A lipo is made of individual lipo cells, hence a 1s, 2s, 3s ect, A 1s has one lipo cell, a 2s has 2 lipo cells ect, a lipo cell at nominal voltage is 3.7 volts, when charged it reaches 4.2 volts, so a 2s lipo is 2 cells 3.7+3.7=7.4 when charged 4.2+4.2=8.4. Your lipo is perfect!
