    Looking for a motor fan

I'm looking to buy a motor fan and I have been seeing in the forums that most people say integy, well since looking online I see they have heatsink with dual fans and one with single.my question is does that extra fan really make a difference ?

I suggest a larger fan would definitely cool it down. I'm not allowed to tell you the manufacturer of this fan but google/eBay large fan with heatsink. As you can see there will be a little modification needed you need to cut using a dremel.

Will do I have the ESC fan already and with this Louisiana heat I'm looking for anything to work I can't even burn out a whole battery. This is what I was looking at on eBay. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...d=190856536131

I'm familiar with this two fan with heatsink and to be honest I didn't have a temp gun/heat telemetry setup back then on my MERV then I bought the Pede and decided to go with this fan and bought a temp gun and have telemetry setup which isn't as accurate as the gun. Without the fan my temps were 10 degrees higher with this fan it brought it down and I live in Texas so it's a must to have a large fan.

I have the dual fan that you posted the link for. Definitely helps to keep my motor cool. I recommend moving the three wires from the motor to the side and not facing the fan.

that fan is not much larger than the integy one. if i was you i would get this fan. i run this fan/heatsink combo on all of my cars. it will take a little modding to get it to fit on the velineon. the combo comes from hongkong but it only takes 7 days. i have ordered over 20 of these fans from this seller.

Remember you have to modify the heatsink with the large fan to fit the motor while it's mounted. I can't find the thread on it but someone made a thread on how they did it.

Here is the link for the mod on the heatsink. Works really really well for me. On thing I did differently is remove the fins that block the access the motor mount screw only about 1 inch away from the end of the heatsink. The whole length of the fin does not have to be removed.

Thx for all the help guys I'm still a noob this is my first big rc. And thank you very much hirschowl for the installation guide, I will use that guide. I'm going to still browse on fans while I install the new upgrades the wife don't know about, but I think I might go with the castle creation. Oh and I got RPM a arms (Front/Rear) Traxxas aluminum shock caps (#2760) RPM shock shaft guards (80405) Traxxas blue aluminum bearing (6893X) and STRC front center drive shaft hub (ST6888B)
