looking for a good motor to go with sv3.

I got my sv3 in and looking for a good motor that's not to expensive to combo with. If I can't find anything I might just get the castle 3800kv motor. I just wasn't looking to spend that much but if it come down to it I will. Thanks.

The Castle 3800 is way too powerful for the 1/16 Traxxas cars. You might take a look at Leopard. I have seen a few different Leopard motors work and am very impressed. If you are going big block, the LBA2848/9T might be something the Sidewinder can handle and has a nice price.

If you are talking about the Castle ones, those are a lot more expensive than the Leopard ones. From my personal experience, the quality difference doesn't justify the price difference.

I would go with a 4600kv. I just wasn't looking to spend $70 on a motor. I probably should have just bought a combo. But I thought I was gonna keep the stock 380. After one run with it on my Merv I wanted more speed. I haven't tried it on my rally but that's where it will be going.

Your probably right.. Never looked at the leopard motors.
I've got castle traxxas and a Hong Kong motor, the castle is the best motor Forsure but then again the other one was 30 bucks...

Lots of people run the stock Velineon 380 with the sidewinder, and it gets plenty of power.
    Drive. Crash. Fix. Repeat.
