Funny car with MMM 2200 kv

Any one ever put a MMM 2200kv in the funny car?

Well we did and boy does it fly. Only running one 3S. Gearing is 24/68.

Don't have the room to run full throttle on 3S but can go about 3/4 of the way and I'd say its right at about 60, Not GPS confirmed.. I'd say it could do 80-90 on one 3S, same gearing..

Can't wait to run full throttle on 6S!!!

    What ya think?

Sounds like a fun but expensive project, because if you wreck at 80mph man that thing is gone...

Ya that what I'm afraid will happen.. We need to limit the steering response because its a little too touchy for our liking. But still getting used to it.. Only been run 3 times..

4S isn't possible.. Only have one 2S and no xo1.we do however have 3,3S's ... When we go to run in the school parking lot next time I will be sure to video tape a little so you can get an idea.. Need a way to mount GPS on the inside so it won't get busted if it does crash... Any ideas???

You need to post up some pics and video of this puppy. Congrats on the FC purchase. I picked up an XO-1 last week. Hoping to run it this weekend.

Bad news.. I wasn't allowed to tag along the iPad for pics/vids.. Good thing I didn't either, because about 3 mins in the run with 6S (hehe) the left rear tire came unglued, no big deal right.. WRONG! It would balloon until it hits the back of the body, causing the tire to rub the fender and make little pieces fling off. This is going at most 25 mph.. So packed up and went to Wally World for dog food.. Lol..

Put some gorilla glue on it and hopefully this works.
We did notice that running the 3S it was starting to un glue a little but didnt think much of it.. 6S makes you think twice.

Gorilla glue doesn't stand up to the power of 6S...

Might try to put the XO-1 wheels on..

Yeah the xo wheels are rated for over 100mph. Oh and they are belted.

Turns out the funny car tires are actually xo-1 tires on funny car rims.. Who knew! They haven't come unglued yet.
