    Which setup do you think is better?

    Which setup do you guys think is better as far as speed and motor temps go
    22/54 on 4s or 22/65 on 6s thanks

    Pm 50togo or Snook, they are the go to guys on this Paul. Make sure to let them know the motor, plays a key part in the gearing.

    I run 20/54 on 6s with good results...my motor temps reach between 60 - 66*C with hard running.

    for speed runs 2/3s for warp speed......22/54 will be quite fast.......
    Would you go flip my truck back over??

    I run 18/54 with a fan on motor and i used 4s and i'm good.

    I currently run 22/54 on 4s and my motor gets hot but the speed and torque is perfect so I was wondering If I ran 22/65 on 6s would get me the same speed with less heat?

    I think the heat you lose from lower gearing will show up in added heat from the higher voltage. Unfortunately there's no easy way to go from high speed runs to heavy offroading without heat problems, whether you modify voltage, gearing, tires etc...
