Axial and maximizer are the most popular.

IMO that's a heavy combination, your drivetrain will be overstressed.

I had a set of axial bead locks and proline trenchers on my Revo and then took them off after about a week, at high speeds the bead locks wouldn't hold up but they where perfect on my summit

That model is a 2.2 which is for a slash which has the 12mm hex, you need to look at the 40 series bead locks. These are the ones I had on minehttp://www.axialracing.com/products/ax8014

I also could not keep the Proline Trenchers mounted to the Axial beadlock wheels. Had to buy Axial tires to keep the tires secured to the wheels/rims.

The Trenchers just do not seat properly on the Axial rims and believe me I really tried to make them work.

If someone out there has been able to keep the Trenchers mounted to the Axial rim running on a E-Revo I would thank you in advance for your help..... No gluing allowed LOL.....

No...Those are 2.2 wheels with 12 mm hubs and your revo should be at 14 mm hub size and 3.8 rims (40 series).

I actually just thought of the idea of tapping the tires, has anyone done that with bead locks? If it keeps the tires from ballooning when you glue them why wouldn't it work for the bead locks, if the problem is when you're doing speed runs and they pop off the beads

I use the trenchers on desperados but if you are having trouble with popping off the bead put a thin bead of silicone before tightening it helps a little

I do tape the tires whether they are used on bead locks or not. The problem is when the tire is not made for a particular wheel/rim, it may not seat properly and the bead comes out of the ring.

Hard cornering with tires that have good grip when driving/bashing in dirt as well as pavement put a lot of pull on the side walls and you can pop the bead out of the ring lock that way as well...
