are you looking for drift tires? or something that actually affords grip?

What about them in the pro compound? Grippier?
And what rims are you using?

with stock tires they should do that easily. and many after markets if you just give more throttle in the right spot it should slip

they will not fit if you have a rally or a slash but yes they will fit if it's a merv. if you do have a have a slash or rally you might need to look at touring car wheels and tires sized 26mm with a 3 to 6mm offset .

As promised the tires arrived today!
Fit them glued and tapes, they are a but wider than the desperado wheels but the fit still

Those tires look good, wonder what they will look like on your car.
With great brushless comes great responsibility.

I have a set of Proline Speed hawgs sitting here...but am waiting for the HPI SS 5 spoke 2" wide wheels to become available to mount them.
I think they will work much better that way than if i mount them on the 1.5" wide wheels I have sitting here.

I will mount then tonight it tomorrow.. Have to work in an hour

Yes they would look better on a 2" wide wheel Forsure

Side note question, when lowering the shocks what size fuel tubing should I use? And how long? Thanks

Since this is a "tire thread"...how about a couple comparison pics...

    Here's my Merv.

Top left ... Proline Bowtie mounted on a Traxxas 7171 white dish wheel
Top right ... Stock Talon mounted on a stock Merv wheel
Bottom left ... Proline Speed Hawg on a JConcepts wheel(not glued)
Bottom right ... Proline Dirt Hawg mounted on a Proline Desperado.

Not only is there big differences in tire sizes...there is also a big difference in offset of the wheels(look at the inside of the wheel in relation to the a-arm) ...

Here's the 4 tires side by side ...

the desperado, jconcepts, and traxxas 7171 wheels are all 1.5" wide and have almost the same offset.(the traxxas might have just a hair less offset.)
the jconcepts with the speed hawgs are deceptive because the tires are so much wider.

That makes sense. Do you know how to lower the shocks? I know you need a limiter but idk what size fuel tube to use

Those tires look awesome. Do they hook up pretty well on pavement? I'm in the market for some on road tires for my Merv. Curious what you think about them!

Got a full run in with my new spc 2500 batteries. The tired are grippy but slip when doing corners at speed. They are exactly what I wanted! They are great. Still do wheelies too
