Some changes i did to my boat.

Hi, bought the boat a view weeks back, and its great fun now that i have the 3s lipo`s .

Wanted to share some things i did to it.

Made a splash guard, for 2 water cooling tubes, second one i`m working on, waiting for some parts.

Put some ducktape into the cover slot so i don`t scrape the inside, which happend every time i took the top of.

And i made a cheap second water cooling intake.

    Thanks,

After hitting something in the water i changed 2 more items.

Made the stearing fins able to rotate if they hit something and a sharp edge on the outside.

I also made a escape route for the steering fin lower bolt. It was dislocated after the hit, but not broken.

    Lost a prop though....looking into a Tenshock CNC 42mm 2 fin alum.

    Thanks, for looking.

New look inside now that i`m finished with what i wanted to change.

Alumin. CNC Tenshock 42mm. I have bought a second 5728 drive dog and drilled it out a bit so it goes more up the shaft and did the cut-out for the screw.

Some more nice upgrades you've done there.

Any reason for not adding additional trim tabs?

I put my second water outlet on the same side as the other one so as to see them both as the boat goes by on the side closest since most boat racing goes clock wise.

I thought it would look nice to have the water outlets on both sides.

About the second trim tabs, i have read that it would slow down the boat.

The second set of trim tabs did not slow my Spartan at all. It has helped with chine walk and assist with a more stable run at 60 + mph.

I suppose if you are not having any issues then leave well enough alone, just keep the sunny side up!!!!
