Am I missing caster spacers, or not?

    Hi guys,

    Traxxas Summit, upper right A-arm.
A piece of 'bare' suspension pin is exposed. Didn't notice this either, but is it supposed to be like this, or am I missing a few caster spacers and/or shims here?

There is no play, as the second attachment point of the arm has the caster spacers/shims.

I can't compare it to the other side, as the bulkhead seems to be asymmetrical and the upper left A-arm doesn't have room for caster spacers and/or shims.

    Thanks!

The shims are there... on the other side of the arm. It would be pointless to have double shims...
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

    Thanks guys.
I just thought it looked a little awkward having like 5 mm of exposed suspension pin. Also looked a little vulnerable to me, but at least I know it's supposed to be that way.

It actually serves the purpose of allowing the arms to flex inward on impact, but not so much that they break. The spacers are there to prevent forward/backward movement all together.

I agree, it certainly is a worrying image at first! =)
