Thought I recalled reading somewhere that a rear brake conversion was needed as well

Well, as long as my optidrive isn't making my life miserable I will keep the reverse. My truck tends to stay on the wheels but is fond off getting into situations where its either to go reverse or go fetch it.

While an extra brake sounds nice, I feel its enough with a upgraded one.

the rear brake is only if you go with Center Diff.

FOC = less rotational mass and less weight

Nope you can add that but you don't need it. 5349x should be the part number.

It reduces front end lift for better steering response by distributing the power more evenly.
