I dont know exactly where is the sound coming from but my summit is squeeking at low gearing and slow crawling. When i look closly it seems that the rear dogbones are squiking. I dont realy know what can i do caz i always wash my truck and spray it with wd40 but the squeeking noise dosent dissapear.

It's the cv joints. Just spray a nice dry lube on them when they squeak, and it goes away. Hope this helps.

These are unlikely causes of the squeak. The summit has an abnormally high number of pivot points all over the chassis. It could be any one of them. Dry lube on the joints and pivots will likely clear it up. Pretty much every summit that acutally gets used ends up with some squeaks. I use this stuff called fluid film. Its not dry lube but I clean my summit after every run so dirt collection isnt an issue. Stuff works amazing. No squeaks at all. But it had developed a TON of noises before that.

Funny thing is the squeaks come and go and seem to be temperature weather sensitive. In my case it's the linkages that make all the noise via compressing the suspension up and down. Nothing to do with motor or the drivetrain.

I use the Blaster Silicone Spray Lubricant. It is a spray that will dry on and stop the squeaking of the axles, joints, and so on. I usually spray it on an hour before every 1 to 5 runs so it has a chance to dry.

Yup, thats the stuff. I use it on everything. Works great and seems to leave a nice residue even after cleaning with soap and water.

I've noticed a lot of the creaks and squeaks are just the actual plastic bending causing friction. Nothing lubrication couldn't fix I suppose, but it's just the result of the articulation and thick plastic parts.
