    T-Maxx reverse help

I've got a T-Maxx classic black trans upgraded with a 3.3. How do i set my revers? Sometimes it works ok but usually when i use the reverse it either does nothing or will go into reverse and takes a bit to go forward again.

sounds normal to me, haha, thats why i deleted it with the FOC kit... also a lot of times with reverse it will buck at idle, really annoying...

your idle has to be nice and low or it wont shift properly back and forth...
Traxxas is good, but so are other Manus

Thanks ill try to set the idle a bit lower. And does buck occasionally which is kind of annoying especially when refueling with the engine running.

the bucking is the main reason i ditched the reverse on mine... refueling and tuning it just made me mad, sure it was totally doable but im a freak and if i dont like something then i hate it

id just get my screw driver on my LSN or HSN and then BUCK... and start over...

ive had a few other rc's with reverse... savage25 i added it, and currently my MGT8.0cc stock with it... both have rock solid reverse's never bucked, and never got stuck in or out of reverse... not sure why the maxx's is so finicky..

Lol, a good tune eliminates the buck and allows it to change to forward and reverse. When you refuel, the engine goes slightly lean and increases rpm's, in essence locking the trans in whatever gear it's in, until the engine richens back up and the idle comes back down.

yeah cept on the engines ive had in order to have the tune i like it bucked... if i adjusted the tune to make it not buck as much it wasnt to my liking... but then again different engines do things differently, maybe yours likes the really low idle... mine never have, i mean they werent high idle by any means but id have to lower it so much it would die when i let off the throttle or hit the brakes in order to make it not buck...

I'm going to bash my maxx for a bit. I'll try to get the reverse working if not i might get the foc.

You can always do the no buck mod if you get tried of the bucking & want to keep the reverse.
