Lightbulb Mod to fit Dusty Motors non-LCG on LCG chassis

    Prologue:

The idea is great, but I didn't like how the shroud was designed in two ways.

    1. Didn't cover the front on the chassis.

    They have now improved that.

    2. The second thing I didn't like about it:

It's attached to the underside of the chassis. Don't think that's durable. I know how my chassis look like underneath...
It might not be a big issue if you just drive on hard flat surface. But then you might not need a shroud, and it's not a rally if you are just running on asphalt...
Doesn't seem to be the smoothest way to attach it.

Here is my solution so far:

This and a piece of 1mm polycarbonat, that I got from a local glazier.
I cut two pieces so they fit into the chassis, like this:

Glued it on the chassis with Loctite SuperGlue.

    Then on with the velcro.

This is just the prototype. I might make some adjustment...

Awesome. How did you shape the polycarbonat to fit around the corners? I just ordered two shrouds, one for my platinum slash and another for my rally.

Thanks. I bent it with my bare hands, gently but firmly.

That is really sweet! If for some reason the super glue doesnt hold, try some shoogoo.

Awesome idea. I did the same thing with my Slash 4x4 last year. But I used the undertray then mounted the velcro on the upper part like you did for the shrouds ( Outerwears & Dusty Motors ).

The reason that the velcro is attached so high at the rear, is because the chassis brace in aluminum that I made...

So the shroud can go over it, like this:

    Rally
    Slash 4x4 Platinum x2
    Stampede 4x4 VXL
