Which batteries to get for the rally

I have been reading about lipo and nimh for The rally , Some say lipos are the only way to go but it is hard on the motor and esc to run two in series. But running two in parallel give you long run time. With the nimhs I read that there is not much different when you run them in series but is easier on the esc and motors but you don't get quite the run time. So whats better guys? Thanks D

I have found that the only people that ask which is better between NiMh and LiPo have not ran LiPo.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

So I guess your vote is for lipo lol, just gear down for speed runs.

2s or 3s for the lipo batterys with 2

    I have both...
I find the 2S in parallel to be more fun in the long run. 3S heats everything up and actually produces enough power you really don't get to use it all for one reason or another; breaking, overheating, not enough room, breaking, not enough traction, and breaking. lol

Yup... and I find the 2S is fast enough to be fun!
Just speed runs gets old quick in my opinion.

What gearing are you running on 2s? Ive run 3s exclusively on my Merv for the past 4 years, but since this is a street car i figure id like it not to overheat constantly like my merv likes to do.

http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/top_speed.html <---using this speed calculator under the "transmission gear ratio field" would it be the "high" or "low" tranny gear?

what batteries are you planning to run

i recommend the spc 2s 2500mah batteries, but they might be out of stock because they are so awesome and only $18
With great brushless comes great responsibility.

High, unless you have flipped your gears.

    Thank you sir

Ive been running it on 3s so far today cause I have a fresh SPC 3s with all of 1 cycle on it. lol idk how fast it is cause all it does it spin around, clearly 3s is too much for this thing.
