Running different MAH batteries in series?

Is it safe to do? I have a 1200MAH and 1600MAH. I would assume not because the smaller pack would be fully discharged before the larger one. Seems like it would kill a pack pretty quickly.

    No... especially in series.

When connecting any packs together you are creating a battery system. For series connections, cell count can be different but capacity must be the same. For parallel connections, capacity can be different but cell count must be the same.
Both of these methods with dissimilar packs are not for the inexperienced, in my opinion.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
