    A Pinion/Spur Question

What is a good Pinion/Spur to run for racing. I believe right now I'm running the 18/54 with the normal Velineon Brushless motor/esc and I have the Venom Sport Power 5000 40c 7.4v battery. But I am fixin to upgrade to the Castle Creations Mamba Max Race Pro SCT System ESC 2400kv 1415. So which Pinion/Spur combo should I get?

I bash the MMP sct on 3S and use stock pinion and spur no problems.

I race with a Tenshock 550 and RX8 at 15/50. Plenty of acceleration while still having lots of top speed.

Most, if not all SC races do not allow 3S which is what you need to power the 2400kv. If you want to stick with race rules then you need to be between 3500-4600kv (depends on type/size track). 2400kv on 3S is great for bashing and overall goofing around.

As for gearing you want much lower T pinion for short tracks. I assume your VXL is prob getting pretty hot?
