Trencher-X SC, Split Six Beadloc, Raptor True Scale

My tires and wheels arrived a few days earlier than expected, which I am very happy since I can run them this weekend.

Here are a few pics of the new setup,

    Thanks.
I was more of a Revo guy, but got a Slash a month ago and have really enjoyed the truck.
It's my favorite out of the few vehicles I own.

protrac wheels would tuck those tires perfectly under wheel wells, if ur going for scale. u trade off some cornering stability tho. looks nice!

Going to test them out today.

Tires worked great on all the surfaces I drove on this past Sunday.
    Grass, dirt, sand, and leaves.
I beat on the truck for about 2 hours and the only thing that happened was drivers side rear shock popped out of the cap, double sided tape let go of the ESC, so the ESC kept falling out of the truck and dragging on the ground.
At the very end of the day, my spur gear stripped.

That is amazing looking... A short, short course truck. HATS OFF!

Want to add some bling to those wheels? Order a set of carbon fiber beadlock rings from RCCARBONWORKS:
    http://rccarbonworks.com/store/index...&product_id=78

Here is my split six beadlock mod thread:
    http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...ocks-on-a-diet...
    And a pic

I beat the crap out of them for months on carpet. You know you want em'...

What 17t pinion is that? My erbe 14 & 18 tooth gears have held up to a Hot Racing steel spur for over a year now with no noticeable wear at all? The steel spur is 3 yrs old, and just the black finish has gone. No wear.

The truck looks wicked! I need one of those bodies.

Also, that little track looks like heaps of fun.

That is what I'm talking about! Excellent video! Looks like you had a great time making it! Your screw holding the motor plate to the motor mount may have come loose. That would cause the spur gear to strip. Your gear mesh could've been a little loose. Anyways great job!!!

The cap popped off when I hit a small bump driving fast down the path, truck flipped a half dozen times, and this was before I started jumping those big jumps.

I like the proline body mounts, but make sure you screw the body nuts snug, one fell off at the second bashing spot but I was able to find it.

I like the Proline Trenchers also for a realistic look on a SCT, especially when mounted to Split Six Beadlocks with the carbon fibe rings.

    Nice clean looking truck.....

Thanks. I too really like the beadloc wheels. No mess and was very simple to assemble.
I purchased the wheels and tires on eBay from 2 different vendors for $80 shipped. Buying them locally would have been over $100 with tax and gas, and both shops would have had to order them for me since they weren't in stock.

I am not sure what brand pinion this was, I think it might have been a traxxas one.
When I originally rebuilt the truck for my friend who owned it before me, the motor plate came with 2 pinions, a 12 or 14 and a 17, and this may have been the 17 from the motor plate.

WARNING: Not recommended for high speeds that brusless motors provide.

Proline warns these aren't for brushless due to speeds involved - has that been a problem for yours? Do you ever take it flat out on the roads? What engine do you have in it?

I notice you have some buggy tires on the vehicle in the background. What are they?
