    aluminum castor question.

    what is the size and part number for the vertical pin that holds the axle carrier on the traxxas aluminum castor block and strc's castor block?

    may go with the traxxas one cause it comes with a pin but i dont know if its a good one. also i can get the strc block for like 12 bucks

    This is what you're looking for. The small pins are for the castor blocks and screw right in. I think STRC or RPM are now making these to be sold separately.

    ya i just found out that its the same pin as the front outer hinge pin. i can get a pair of hardened steel pins from strc to put in there. i actually didnt know that rpm makes a pin for that.

    Don't quote me on RPM. I'm thinking AKA has them but they don't screw in like the TRX pins. I like to eliminate those pesky C-clips whenever possible.

    ya me too. if i go that route i will be doing the strc pin with the locking nut.

    Get the ANZA 0 caster blocks. They come with kingpins. Very nice pieces. They are available at HobbyTown USA and only come in gunmetal color.

    Was an xl-5, now its vxl-ent!
