    Lipos

Just got a new E-Revo brushless Mamba Monster, would you recommend using 6s or 4s?

Even with MIPS, 6s will be hard on the diff, I run 4s, and never had an issue, if you plan to do only speed runs maybe, but for bashing 4s is plenty.

Or 6s and limit the esc with the cc link cable. Then you can always tune it up for speed runs.
I got more then 6 hours of hard bashing with mine and still holding up.

    6s (two 3s 5000mAh 40-80C lipo´s)
    Punch control at 30%
    Torque limit 9.2
    Pinion 18t/ spur 54t
And above all.. driving with traxxas steel cvd´s

I tried 6s before 4s... and for me 4s is not a option anymore.

My e revo brushless (manmba) is arriving tomorrow, I got 2s 7.4 7600 mah lipos... is it safe to run those stock?
I have gone through upgrades galore on my 4x4 brushless stampede with 3s 11.1 4000 mah and fried the motor yesterday.
I want to play it safe with my e revo. This is getting expensive.. Should i mess with the gearing?
    Suggestions much appreciated.

18/65 is stock and way too slow for 4S.
I currently run 18/54 and temps are fine, but its only ~10C out here. I can probably go up to 20/54 like 50togo advises. I'm on my 15th run or so and i only broke a bulkhead until now, but that was probably because of the cold and a high jump with too soft suspension . Driveshafts are still fine!

If you break any drive shafts, replace them with Summit Long Half Shafts. You will need 2 packs of Traxxas Summit Half Shafts Long part TRX5656. I sold my Erevo, but I wouldnt use 4S on it.
