Traction compound?

Has anyone else used "tire sauce" to hook up? I just got some SXT 1 and 2, I am going to try it on the stock tires and a few others - this stuff makes all the difference in 1/10 and 1/8 so I figure it should really help.

i'm sorry for being a noob but, what is a tire sauce and how long that it last when applied? i've heard of pouring soda at the track though.

Pretty standard for every on-road racer - carpet and asphalt. you apply it and it'll last a while - makes tires stick. You can look up the SXT tire stuff, lots of racers like it.

i never used it , but I have some friends that apply the stuff and put the tires in a plastic ziplock bag the night before they goto the racetrack . But thats on 1/8 grp's not the stock TRX slicks for xo-1

What can use around my house to make my tires hook?
That would be long term
