looks like its discontinued and very expensive so if something breaks your out of luck.

Ya I found it from like 2010 or so.. didn't have any build pics just the rc4wd video.. $350 is pretty expensive I agree especially when you need a $250 full kit on top of it (so they say)

I put in on the waiting list for one and plan to piece it together (with out buying and parting out a kit)

Looks to be a nice project, but IMO a new LCG 4wd Traxxas would be a less costly choice. If you want to build something, have fun you will....
