I used a single 775 on my E-maxx - its a little slower than twin titans and I think single 775 has less torque than twin titans

It may have been the gears I was using on the twin titan setup.

If you use dual 775, you're going to need 4 batteries and 2 ESCs

You should dual Titan 550's. Or VXL's with a parallel connector.

The EVX-2 has been shown to run dual Dewalt (820) motors many times. Why would you need 2 ESCs and 4 batteries for dual 775 motors? The 775s have the same voltage range as the 550s, but they do draw more amps.
It can be done but I'm not sure if two 775s will give the performance you desire.
